Wal's Pilsner is a light coloured, crisp yet bitter Australian style pilsner with a slightly dry finish.
Fresh hops added to the concentrate give an added hop "punch" to the Wal's Range of beers.
*** Note: Upon opening the can, you may see what looks like candied sugar or a green crust. Don't panic, it's just the fresh hops within the can that have come to the surface of the malt. They're supposed to be there! ***
*** Brew this one cool (7 °C to 15 °C) as it is supplied with a true lager yeast ***
*** Makes 22 Litres ***

I suspect there might have been a problem with this batch of Pilsner as it was nothing like the other reviews posted here. Colour, head and clarity were fine but this brew had a strange acrid bitterness which showed in both the taste and the nose, before and after. To be clear, this was not a high alpha hops bitterness. I'm reluctantly chucking the whole batch.

Used as a base for a Rosehip and Orange Peel "Farmhouse" style.
Light Golden colour.
Grassy, citrus to the nose.
TIght lasting head, round / full mouthfeel - quick finishing with a hint of citrus.
Otherwise - Bloodty great mate.

Wals Pilsener is the best homebrew concentrate that i have ever tried in over 20 years of brewing, wouldn't consider buying anything else.
